Mda & Marva
Dear Parents,
New period, new things, new experiences...
MDA and Marva, are great opportunities for the Chanichim to go a little bit outside of the BA umbrella and meet more Chanichim from various Tnuot and countries . An opportunity to see Israel from a more respective point of view, and experience Israel in a great new way .
The first week of Marva was full of drilling exercises and discipline. The peek was a Tekes Hashbaa (induction ceremony) when the soldiers received their gun and the Bible, an act which symbolizes the strength and the faith that Tzaha"l is based on. "כי לא בחיל ולא בכח כי אם ברוחי אמר ה'" ("Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts") .
If the Chanichim thought they knew what army is, the second week to proved them wrong!
"Field week" !!! sleeping in tents outside of the base, running and crawling, was only the beginning. By the end of the week, after a long time the Chanichim understood what Shabat MENUCHA means.
This week was an educational week and the Chanichim visited many historical sites in the north border of Israel.
MDA participants went to Ashkelon and passed a week and a half of MDA course.
The course wasn't easy, of people 's lives are going to be in the Chanicihm's hands . Before the stamps were given , they had to pass 2 exams and hundreds of learning hours.
MDA participants, except for 2 Chanichot who are volunteering somewhere else , started their real job at the beginning of the past week in Netanya. the job isn't easy and they have to work through night shifts also, but the reward is great satisfaction !!!
Every week the Chanichim have an educational day. This week they had a meeting with the "Deputy Mayor & Head of Chinuch" of Netanya . From there they continued to Zichron Yaakov and heard about the history of the first Aliya . At the end of the day they went to Binyamina winery.
MDA and Marva were a period which the Chanicihm waited for , a long time, ITS NOT GOING TO FAIL THEM.
